چکیده
Despite the extensive research conducted on relationship between transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1) polymorphisms and levels onset development of liver disease, there are still certain gaps that need to be addressed. To address these provide a comprehensive overview current knowledge, this review aimed identify relevant published TGF-β1/TGF-β1 polymorphism, levels, their associations with cirrhosis hepatitis C. The synthesis available data was performed further enhance our understanding in area. Adopting Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines, search strategy implemented across several online databases articles as per defined selection criterion. Eight studies were selected after completion strategy. Of eight studies, five revealed considerably high level TGF-β1 patients who had C virus (HCV) caused by hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). forest plot analysis showed statistically significant impact polymorphism incidence hepatic C, an odds ratio (OR) 0.65 risk (RR) 0.76. heterogeneity test at 94% 95% OR RR, respectively, but overall effect P < 0.01 both measures. According results obtained, authors concluded its associated should taken into account while developing preventive therapeutic approaches

TGF-β1 gene − 509C > T promoter polymorphism modulates TGF-β1 levels in hepatitis E patients
Elevated levels of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) and its positive correlation with Foxp3 expression in hepatitis E patients have indicated involvement of TGF-β1 in hepatitis E pathogenesis. The current study determined polymorphisms in TGF-β1 gene, plasma TGF-β1 levels and T effector (Teff) cell proliferation and explored their association in a case control study. Polymorphisms in thre...
متن کاملGenotype-phenotype association of TGF-β1 and GST with chemo-radiotherapy induced toxicity
Background: Normal tissue toxicity continues to remain as a major challenge for radiation oncologists for delivering the total dose to the tumour cells in cancer patients. Cellular, molecular and plasma based early biomarkers to predict the overreactions and non-overreactions of normal tissue toxicity before the initiation of radiotherapy can be valuable for personalised treatment. The aim of t...
متن کاملGenetic association between TGF-β1 C509T polymorphism and IgA nephropathy susceptibility: a meta-analysis
Background: Several epidemiological studies have investigated the role of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) C509T polymorphism in IgA nephropathy (IgAN) susceptibility. However, the results were inconsistent. Objective: This meta-analysis was designed to evaluate the genetic association between C509T polymorphism and IgAN susceptibility. Materials and methods: Thorough literature search of...
متن کاملAssociation between the TGF-β1 polymorphisms and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: a meta-analysis
It has been hypothesized that polymorphisms in the transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) gene on chromosome 19 modify the risk for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). However, results from previous studies are contradictory. We therefore conducted a meta-analysis of published case-control studies on the association between five common TGF-β1 polymorphisms (rs1982073, rs1800469, rs224...
متن کاملAssociation of MSX1 and TGF-β1 genetic polymorphisms with hypodontia: meta-analysis.
We conducted a comprehensive meta-analysis of 4 case-control studies to explore the association between polymorphisms of Msh homeobox 1 (MSX1) and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) genes and hypodontia. A total of 643 tooth agenesis cases and 733 healthy controls were included in this study. The meta-analysis results showed that the T allele and T carrier (CT + TT) of rs1095 in the MSX1 ge...
